About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern at Kroger, you will work in our pharmacy department to provide care and support to our customers. This is a paid, part-time position based in Tucson, Arizona. You will work on-site and support our pharmacy team in daily operations, ensuring that our customers receive accurate information and medication.
What you'll do#
- Provide drug counseling to customers and assist with over-the-counter medication recommendations.
- Input patient and prescription information into the pharmacy computer system.
- Dispense the correct medication and bag filled prescriptions for delivery.
- Contact prescribers' offices for authorization and insurance companies when necessary.
- Provide immunizations under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
- Maintain a clean and safe pharmacy environment and manage inventory by stocking incoming orders.
- Accept and interpret oral and written prescriptions for fills and refills.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a United States school of pharmacy.
- A current, state-issued Pharmacy Intern license.
- The ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
- A commitment to honesty, integrity, and cooperative teamwork.
