About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work within the pharmacy department to support daily operations and provide high-quality care to our customers. You will assist the pharmacy team in maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment while gaining hands-on experience in a retail pharmacy setting.
What you'll do#
- Provide drug counseling and assist customers with over-the-counter medication recommendations.
- Accurately input patient information and interpret oral or written prescriptions.
- Dispense correct medications and bag prescriptions for accurate delivery.
- Coordinate with prescribers' offices and insurance companies to resolve authorization or processing issues.
- Administer immunizations under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
- Manage inventory by checking, stocking, and returning medication stock bottles.
- Maintain department cleanliness and report any safety risks, accidents, or incidents to management.
- Interact with diverse customer groups, including minors, older adults, and individuals with special needs, with trust and respect.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a US school of pharmacy.
- A valid state-issued Pharmacy Intern license.
- Ability to work cooperatively in a busy environment.
- Skills to manage conflict in a nonconfrontational and professional manner.
- Commitment to honesty and integrity regarding all business and customer information.
- Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when needed.
- Capability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

- This is a paid, full-time position with a rolling term.
