About the role#
KPMG is seeking an Advisory Intern to join our Federal Technology Enablement practice. You will work on projects that bridge the gap between technical developers and project management. This role focuses on business process analysis and helping clients make informed decisions regarding their technology platforms.
What you'll do#
- Act as a technical bridge between project managers and developers.
- Conduct business process and requirements analysis.
- Advise clients on architectural decisions for platforms and supporting technologies.
- Develop client-ready deliverables, including requirement specifications, functional designs, and test plans.
- Support project communications, training, internal controls, and organizational change management.
- Identify and communicate risks to senior management to protect business interests.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited university pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Management Information Systems, Information Systems, Systems or IT-related Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- A current GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Eligibility for or possession of a U.S. Government Security clearance.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship.
- Understanding of IT organization operations and tools for managing IT processes.
- Familiarity with systems development life cycle processes, such as Agile.
- Proficiency with common business technologies, including MS Office and AI tools.
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- A professional demeanor and a collaborative approach to leadership.
Location & details#
- This internship is for Summer 2027.
- The role is based in McLean, Virginia.
- You must reside within a commutable distance of the office.
- Work modality includes a mix of on-site, remote, and hybrid arrangements depending on business needs.
- This is a paid, full-time position.
