About the role#
TRUMPF is seeking a Manufacturing Intern for the Large Part Machining Department in Farmington, Connecticut. This is a full-time, on-site role running from January 2027 through August 2027. You will work at least 32 hours per week to support our goal of delivering high-quality parts while meeting productivity standards.
What you'll do#
- Perform detailed process analytics.
- Design fixtures for production.
- Create and maintain process documentation.
- Lead workshops focused on continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with team members to refine current work practices.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, specifically CNC machining.
- Familiarity with sheet metal manufacturing is preferred.
- Experience with CAD design, with SolidWorks experience being ideal.
- Ability to select appropriate materials for different applications.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting advanced blueprints and drawings.
- Strong attention to quality.

- Compensation: This position is paid, with a range of $18 to $26 per hour.
