About the role#
KPMG is seeking an Advisory Intern to support our Federal Program Delivery practice. This role focuses on helping clients manage programs, projects, and portfolios. You will work as part of a team to deliver advisory services while gaining experience in a professional services environment.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the delivery and development of client advisory services.
- Help create and maintain project charters, schedules, management plans, and risk management documentation.
- Support team efforts to design communications and training strategies.
- Develop materials such as PowerPoint decks, fact sheets, roadmaps, and status reports.
- Contribute to regular reporting and communication for both client and KPMG leadership.
- Follow quality and performance standards established by team leadership.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Business Administration, Communications, Marketing, Public Policy, Organizational Psychology, Operations, Management, Information Systems, Strategy, Political Science, Government, or Human Factors/Human Centered Design.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Eligibility for or possession of a U.S. Government Security clearance.
- Proficiency with business technologies, specifically MS Office (with an emphasis on Excel) and AI tools.
- Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, apply professional judgment, and learn new tools quickly.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
Location & details#
- The position is based in McLean, Virginia.
- Work modality includes on-site, hybrid, and remote options depending on business needs.
- You must reside within a commutable distance of the office and provide your own transportation.
- When working remotely, you must be located within the U.S.
- This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027.
- Candidates must have a graduation date between November 2027 and September 2028.
