About the role#
Hitachi Rail is seeking an intern to join the team in Batesburg-Leesville, South Carolina, for the Summer 2027 term. This position offers hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment while working under the supervision of the Planning Manager. This is a paid, full-time role requiring 40 hours of work per week on-site.
What you'll do#
- Assist the Planning Manager and the broader team with data analysis and procedural improvements.
- Participate in the execution of various development projects.
- Create and integrate documentation processes to maintain accuracy and consistency.
- Provide regular project status updates.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Junior or Senior standing at a 4-year university.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with a focus on Excel.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week at the Batesburg-Leesville location.
