About the role#
The Summer 2027 Key Investment Services Internship is a 10.5-week program designed to provide exposure to the wealth management industry. Interns work directly with Private Client Advisors to gain hands-on experience in financial planning, client discovery, and administrative operations. The program includes participation in enterprise learning labs, networking events, and a collaborative Capstone Group Project focused on real-world industry topics.
What you'll do#
- Partner with a KIS Private Client Advisor to gain hands-on industry experience.
- Participate in client discovery and financial planning activities, including data entry and analysis.
- Observe client meetings and assist with administrative tasks.
- Develop client relationships and professional communication skills.
- Manage Salesforce records and assist in planning client events.
- Engage in Key Corp Enterprise learning labs and networking events.
- Collaborate on a Capstone Group Project addressing real-world industry topics.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a four-year or graduate-level degree by May 2029 with coursework in finance, accounting, economics, or data science.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Demonstrated leadership and teamwork through work experience or extracurricular activities.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Certification as a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) is preferred for candidates pursuing a career as a Financial Advisor.

- Compensation: $23 per hour plus a $2,000 sign-on bonus.
