About the role#
The Key Investment Services (KIS) internship is a structured 10.5-week program designed to provide exposure to the wealth management industry. Interns work directly with Private Client Advisors to gain hands-on experience in financial planning, client discovery, and administrative operations. The program includes participation in enterprise learning labs, networking events, and a collaborative Capstone Group Project focused on real-world industry topics.
What you'll do#
- Partner with a KIS Private Client Advisor to gain practical experience in the wealth management field.
- Assist with client discovery and financial planning activities, including data entry and analysis.
- Observe client meetings and support the team with administrative tasks.
- Manage Salesforce records and assist in the planning of client events.
- Digitize client files and maintain accurate client information.
- Engage in professional development through learning labs and networking opportunities.
- Collaborate with peers on a Capstone Group Project.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a four-year or graduate-level degree with an expected graduation date by May 2029.
- Focused coursework in finance, accounting, economics, or data science.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills through work experience or extracurricular activities.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Preference is given to candidates pursuing Certified Financial Planner (CFP) certification.

- Location: Albany, Oregon.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May 26, 2027 – August 6, 2027).
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $23 per hour plus a $2,000 sign-on bonus.
