About the role#
The Summer 2027 Key Investment Services Internship is a 10.5-week program designed to provide exposure to the wealth management industry. Interns gain hands-on experience by working alongside Private Client Advisors, participating in client discovery, and assisting with financial planning activities. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position based in Cicero, New York.
What you'll do#
- Partner with a KIS Private Client Advisor to gain direct industry experience.
- Participate in client discovery and financial planning activities, including data entry and analysis.
- Observe client meetings and assist with administrative tasks.
- Manage Salesforce records and assist in planning client events.
- Digitize client files and verify client email information.
- Engage in Key Corp Enterprise learning labs and networking events.
- Collaborate on a capstone group project addressing industry topics.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a four-year or graduate-level degree by May 2029 in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data Science, or Business Administration.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Participation in the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) program is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership and teamwork through past work experience or extracurricular activities.
- Strong analytical skills for financial data analysis and problem-solving.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Location: 7950 Brewerton Road, Cicero, New York.
- Term: May 26, 2027, to August 6, 2027.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $23 per hour plus a $2,000 sign-on bonus.
