About the role#
The Commercial Banking Intern supports teams across the Commercial Banking division, including client onboarding, sales operations, and treasury management. You will gain hands-on experience with banking processes, regulatory frameworks, and client service strategies.
What you'll do#
- Assist with onboarding new client accounts and managing signer changes.
- Respond to internal and external requests within established service-level agreements.
- Support the development of process maps, procedures, and Rules of Engagement for sales teams.
- Input and track sales team activities in Salesforce and provide operational feedback.
- Participate in strategic and operational projects across Commercial Banking and Treasury Management.
- Handle general client service requests, including account maintenance and user support.
- Collaborate with specialty deposit groups to understand client needs and service models.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program such as Business Administration, Finance, or Economics.
- Ability to work in a busy environment.
- Interest in banking processes and regulatory frameworks.
- Professional communication skills.

- This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site at our San Diego, California headquarters.
- The internship follows a rolling schedule.
