About the role#
The Key Investment Services Internship is a 10.5-week structured program designed to provide exposure to the wealth management industry. Interns work directly with the KIS team to support financial planning services and client engagement. This role is paid at $23 per hour and includes a $2,000 sign-on bonus.
What you'll do#
- Partner with a KIS Private Client Advisor to gain hands-on industry experience.
- Participate in client discovery and financial planning activities, including data entry and analysis.
- Observe client meetings and assist with administrative tasks such as digitizing files and managing Salesforce records.
- Develop client relationship skills and assist in planning client events.
- Engage in Key Corp Enterprise learning labs and networking events.
- Collaborate on a Capstone Group Project addressing real-world industry topics.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a four-year or graduate-level degree by May 2029 with coursework in finance, accounting, economics, or data science.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA and demonstrated leadership through work or extracurricular activities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and reporting.
- Preferred: Participation in the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) program and completion of the CFP exam.
- Note: This position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship.
