About the role#
The Commercial Bank Internship at KeyBank offers experience in credit and lending within the New York City market. You will work alongside senior bankers and analysts to support middle market and institutional clients. The program runs for 10.5 weeks, from May 26, 2027, to August 6, 2027. You will complete a Capstone Project that incorporates credit analysis, business analytics, and client deliverables.
What you'll do#
- Analyze commercial loan requests, including reviewing financial statement spreads and calculating key financial ratios.
- Evaluate the business and financial integrity of borrowers.
- Collect financial statements from clients to monitor performance.
- Maintain credit system data accuracy and perform system maintenance for portfolio assignments.
- Update pipeline activities within Salesforce.
- Support relationship management teams with daily objectives.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least two years toward a four-year undergraduate degree, with an anticipated graduation in or before May 2028.
- Coursework in finance, accounting, economics, or data science is preferred.
- A minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.3.
- Strong quantitative, critical thinking, communication, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and a strong work ethic.
- Professional conduct in all interactions.
