About the role#
As an Experience Design Intern, you will join the Key Experience and Design team. You will work on projects that help improve client and employee experiences. This role focuses on human-centered design, research, and strategy within a financial services environment. You will gain hands-on experience in design thinking and complex systems mapping.
What you'll do#
- Create user flows, journey maps, service blueprints, and personas.
- Produce design deliverables and visual assets.
- Develop visual materials for workshops and client presentations.
- Participate in user research and competitive analysis.
- Translate research insights into visual frameworks and design concepts.
- Support the ideation, prototyping, and validation of design concepts with cross-functional teams.
- Engage in all phases of the design process, from discovery to testing.
- Maintain professional standards and follow all company policies.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least two years of an undergraduate degree program.
- Anticipated graduation date in or before May 2028.
- Coursework in fields like Human Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, Computer Science, Finance, or Digital Design.
- An online portfolio or PDF showcase demonstrating product design, visual design, or UX writing skills.
- Proficiency with Figma, Miro, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office.
- Experience with design thinking workshop facilitation and UX research methods.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
- Interest in working within a regulated industry.

- Location: Brooklyn, Ohio.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May 26, 2027 - August 6, 2027).
- Work Modality: Hybrid.
- Employment Type: Full time.
- Compensation: $23 per hour with a $2,000 sign-on bonus.
