About the role#
The Design Excellence & Operations Intern will support the DExOps team at KeyBank. You will contribute to initiatives that improve how the Experience & Design team functions. This includes refining processes, managing documentation, and supporting team collaboration. You will gain hands-on experience in design operations and work across multiple cross-functional teams.
What you'll do#
- Document, standardize, and operationalize design processes and workflows across 6 cross-functional teams.
- Support the organization and maintenance of centralized tooling systems for design documentation and assets.
- Assist with team communications and feedback loops to promote transparency.
- Create and participate in team-building and knowledge-sharing activities.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Completion of at least two years toward a four-year undergraduate degree in Design, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- Anticipated graduation on or before May 2028.
- No prior professional experience is required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and organize multiple tasks.
- A proactive attitude and the ability to think broadly about team performance needs.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

- Location: Brooklyn, Ohio.
- Term: Summer 2027 (May 26, 2027, to August 6, 2027).
- Work Modality: Hybrid.
- Employment Type: Full-time.
- Compensation: $23 per hour plus a $2,000 sign-on bonus.
