About the role#
Keros Therapeutics is hiring a Co-Op Research Associate to join our preclinical research team. You will work on projects focused on the prevention of kidney fibrosis. This role provides hands-on experience with in vivo and ex vivo techniques while working alongside our multidisciplinary research staff.
What you'll do#
- Handle animals for tasks including weighing and dosing.
- Conduct ex vivo research such as protein and RNA isolation, gene expression analysis, and protein expression studies.
- Maintain accurate experimental records and write study reports.
- Join cross-functional team meetings to provide updates and present your data.
- Troubleshoot experiments and suggest solutions based on literature and team discussions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student in animal science, biology, biochemistry, or a related field.
- Familiarity with molecular biology methods like RNA extraction, qRT-PCR, Western blot, and ELISA.
- Prior experience in a laboratory setting.
- Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
