About the role#
This co-op position supports experiment execution within the downstream biologics process development team. You will work in a laboratory setting to handle equipment setup, maintenance, processing, and data acquisition. The role requires accurate lab notebook recordkeeping and the authoring of technical reports.
What you'll do#
- Execute scale-down and range-finding studies.
- Perform purification of pilot-scale batches using FPLC.
- Implement various liquid chromatography types, such as affinity, ion exchange, and HIC.
- Handle buffer formulation, resin selection, and capacity study execution.
- Conduct filter loading and fouling studies.
- Support formulation and stability studies, including intermediate stability analysis.
- Characterize proteins using A280, SEC, SDS-PAGE, and cIEF.
- Perform statistical data analysis and verify equipment function.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for biology, chemistry, chemical engineering, bioengineering, molecular biology, or a related field.
- Familiarity with protein biochemistry and general biology lab techniques.
- Experience with statistical analysis and experimental design.
- Proficiency in technical and scientific writing and presentation.

- Compensation: $28 to $32 per hour.
