About the role#
We are hiring a Research Associate Co-Op to join our In Vivo Pharmacology team in Lexington, Massachusetts. This 6-month position focuses on the discovery and development of therapies for rare neuromusculoskeletal diseases. You will receive training in in vivo and ex vivo research techniques while working on studies related to neuromuscular conditions.
What you'll do#
- Assist with in vivo studies using animal models of neuromuscular diseases.
- Perform ex vivo analysis on mouse tissue samples using molecular biology techniques.
- Execute tasks including tissue sectioning, histological analysis, behavior tests, qPCR, and protein analysis.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records and summarize findings in study reports.
- Provide project updates during team meetings and contribute to both individual and group tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor or Master degree program in a science-related discipline, such as Biology or Biomedical Sciences.
- A willingness to learn rodent handling and dosing techniques.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office, data plotting, and presentation software.
