About the role#
Kennedy Jenks is seeking an intern for the Summer 2027 Kickstart Internship Program in Lakewood, Colorado. This role supports project teams focused on water resources, water quality, wastewater and water treatment, and recycled water planning. You will contribute to projects across the United States while receiving mentorship and professional guidance.
What you'll do#
- Apply academic skills and calculations to active projects.
- Assist with technical report preparation and design plans.
- Conduct field work and visit project sites.
- Document pre-construction conditions.
- Manage ongoing project tasks and communicate with team members and clients.
- Attend and contribute to client meetings.
- Network with employees and clients to build professional relationships.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program for Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering, Drafting/3D Design, or a related field.
- Completion of at least two years of study in an accredited engineering program.

- Compensation: The anticipated pay rate is $21 to $26 per hour, depending on experience, education, and skills.
