About the role#
Kennedy Jenks is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term in Ventura, California. This full-time, paid internship is part of the Kickstart Internship Program. You will support project teams working on water resources, water quality, wastewater treatment, and recycled water planning. This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring at least two days per week in the office.
What you'll do#
- Apply school-learned skills and calculations to various engineering projects.
- Manage ongoing project tasks and coordinate with team members and clients.
- Prepare technical reports, design plans, and specifications.
- Document pre-construction conditions.
- Attend and contribute to client meetings.
- Visit project sites to support field work.
- Participate in mentorship, advising, and networking opportunities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Completion of at least junior-level standing in an accredited engineering program.
Location & details#
- Location: Ventura, California.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Compensation: $21 to $26 per hour.
- Benefits: $15 per month toward cell phone costs, participation in the 401(k) plan, and accrued paid sick time.
