About the role#
Kennedy Jenks is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 program in Federal Way, Washington. You will join our project teams to support solutions for water resources, water quality, and treatment. This position offers exposure to pipeline design, recycled water planning, and project management tasks.
What you'll do#
- Apply academic skills and calculations to real project challenges.
- Prepare technical reports and design plans.
- Conduct fieldwork and document pre-construction conditions.
- Manage ongoing project tasks and communicate with team members and clients.
- Attend client meetings and visit project sites.
- Participate in mentorship, advising, and internal networking.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program for Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering.
- Completion of at least your sophomore year in an accredited engineering program.
Location & details#
- Location: Federal Way, Washington.
- Modality: Hybrid, with a minimum of two days per week in the office.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Compensation: Paid position, ranging from $21 to $26 per hour.
- Benefits: Includes $15 per month for cell phone costs, 401(k) participation, and accrued paid sick time.
