About the role#
Kennedy Jenks is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 Kickstart Internship Program in Monterey, California. This role supports project teams focused on water resources, water quality, wastewater and water treatment, and recycled water planning.
What you'll do#
- Apply academic skills and calculations to real-world engineering projects.
- Prepare technical reports, design plans, and specifications.
- Conduct field work and document pre-construction conditions.
- Manage ongoing project tasks and communicate with team members and clients.
- Attend and contribute to client meetings.
- Visit project sites to support construction and planning efforts.
- Participate in mentorship, advising, and professional networking.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program for Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or a related Engineering field.
- Completion of at least junior (third-year) standing in an accredited engineering program.
Location & details#
- Location: Monterey, CA.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Work Modality: Hybrid, with a minimum of two days per week in the office.
- Employment Type: Full-time.
- Compensation: $21 to $26 per hour, depending on experience, education, and skills.
