About the role#
The Software Engineer Program Summer Internship begins with the Code for Good hackathon, a social impact event where you will collaborate with technologists to address real-world challenges for nonprofit organizations. This program is designed to help you discover a career in financial services technology while developing your skills through training, mentorship, and access to senior leaders. Successful participation may lead to an invitation for a full-time role upon graduation.
What you'll do#
- Design, develop, test, and troubleshoot software solutions.
- Write secure, high-quality code in at least one programming language while following established standards.
- Collaborate with engineers, managers, and stakeholders across teams to share ideas, document solutions, and deliver reliable software.
- Leverage approved AI-assisted development tools for tasks such as code generation, refactoring, testing, and documentation.
- Apply automation and modern tooling to improve delivery efficiency and reliability throughout the software development life cycle.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or 5th-year Master’s degree with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
- Academic focus in Computer Science, Information Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, or related fields.
- Ability to write secure, high-quality code in at least one programming language.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to articulate technical concepts and document work.
- Experience collaborating with teams to solve problems and deliver technical solutions.
- Familiarity with industry-wide technology trends and best practices.
