About the role#
The Global Safety Strategy & Risk Management (GSSRM) PharmD Fellowship is a postgraduate training program. You will work in partnership with the Medical Safety Officer and receive mentorship to prepare scientific safety evaluations. These reports are essential for regulatory compliance and safety-related decisions for products in development and those already on the market. You will gain experience in safety surveillance, case processing, and the review of clinical trial and medical literature data.
What you'll do#
- Support safety evaluations by handling data retrieval, analysis, and report writing.
- Ensure safety reports meet high quality standards.
- Collaborate with the Therapeutic Area Safety Head and other stakeholders on safety strategy.
- Support Safety Management Team (SMT) activities, such as presenting data, tracking signals, and compiling meeting minutes.
- Assist with Health Authority interactions regarding safety and risk management.
- Deliver presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
- Participate in rotations across different safety areas.
- Help recruit for the fellowship program and precept pharmacy students.
- Complete task-based activities for novel projects.
What you'll need#
- Pharm.D. degree from an ACPE-accredited program, earned within the last 2 years or expected before the start date.
- Solid understanding of medical concepts.
- Ability to analyze complex medical-scientific data and interpret it to determine benefit-risk impact.
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work in a matrix environment and manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines.
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders.
- Submission of a Letter of Intent and 3 Letters of Recommendation.
