About the role#
This co-op position focuses on the development of drug-device combination products for the treatment of bladder cancer. You will work alongside scientists and engineers to support the full product development lifecycle, from initial concept through to manufacturing scale-up.
What you'll do#
- Design and create prototypes for drug-device delivery systems.
- Perform hands-on laboratory testing to evaluate prototype performance.
- Work with technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve challenges.
- Document work in laboratory notebooks and write technical reports.
- Assist with preclinical activities, including the manufacture and characterization of investigational products.
- Use tools like MATLAB, R, or Python to analyze and validate data for quality and reliability.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program related to Chemistry, Biology, or Material Science.
- Experience working in a laboratory setting, including basic wet lab skills such as sample dilutions and aseptic procedures.
- Proficiency in programming languages including Python, R, or MATLAB.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A collaborative approach and attention to detail.
- Experience in pharmaceutical formulation or product development is preferred.
- Familiarity with drug-device combination products is a plus.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid position based on-site in Lexington, Massachusetts.
- The program operates on a rolling basis.
- Candidates must be permanently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship.
