About the role#
As a Translational Science and Medicine Intern, you will join a multidisciplinary team focused on advancing therapeutics for immune-mediated diseases. You will work on a defined research project aligned with team priorities, gaining hands-on experience in pharmaceutical research and development. Throughout the program, you will collaborate with colleagues in a global matrix environment and receive mentorship to support your professional growth.
What you'll do#
- Design and execute experiments while maintaining accurate records.
- Participate in department and cross-functional team meetings.
- Assist with the interpretation, reporting, and preparation of research results.
- Review relevant literature and emerging technologies.
- Shadow key functional roles to build your understanding of the drug development process.
- Lead specific program tasks or group projects.
- Prepare and present an abstract or poster at the organization-wide research symposium.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program in Biology, Chemistry, Nursing, Public Health, Biomedical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related fields.
- Undergraduate students must have completed at least four semesters; graduate students must be pursuing a master’s, PharmD, Physician Assistant, or PhD degree.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week).
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft business applications and Slack.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Permanent authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for visa sponsorship.
- Proven leadership or participation in campus or service programs is preferred.
Location & details#
- Positions are available in Spring House, Pennsylvania, and San Diego, California.
- The internship runs from May 17, 2027, through August 6, 2027.
- Work modality is on-site or hybrid, depending on the specific project requirements.
