About the role#
This is a 12-month full-time co-op position for the Winter 2027 term. You will report to the maintenance supervisor and work directly with the maintenance team to support daily operations in Ancaster, Ontario.
What you'll do#
- Ensure all activities follow ISO 45001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and other industry standards.
- Collaborate with production operators, technicians, and other staff to document, standardize, and improve processes.
- Create and update the preventative maintenance system.
- Develop and maintain documentation for new and existing assembly lines.
- Create and update electrical schematics for current and new projects.
- Provide support for PLC and HMI programming.
- Coordinate continuous improvement initiatives and perform other related duties as needed.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a technical degree or diploma program in Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
- Troubleshooting skills and a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, both in writing and verbally.
- Strong integrity, dependability, and a focus on meeting deadlines.
- Ability to multi-task and adjust priorities based on organizational needs.
- Previous co-op experience and hands-on technical experience are considered assets.
