About the role#
This internship supports the legal team with initiatives in innovation, governance, compliance, and operational efficiency during the Winter 2027 term. You will work on the integration of an AI-powered legal platform, assist with the harmonization of corporate policies following the ESAB integration, and support legal operations through research and documentation management.
What you'll do#
- Participate in the rollout and integration of the Luminance AI platform.
- Develop use cases and best practices for AI in contract management.
- Test platform functionalities and prepare training materials or user guides.
- Make recommendations to improve the efficiency of legal processes.
- Conduct an inventory and review of existing corporate policies.
- Harmonize policies with ESAB requirements and identify gaps.
- Prepare revised versions of policies and tracking tools.
- Conduct legal research on governance, compliance, data protection, and business ethics.
- Support the review and drafting of commercial contracts.
- Organize and manage legal documentation.
- Assist with special projects related to post-acquisition integration.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Law, Business Law, Corporate Law, Governance, or a related field.
- Interest in the intersection of law, technology, artificial intelligence, and innovation.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to conduct research, synthesize information, and prepare clear, structured documents.
- Attention to detail, sound judgment, and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
- Proactive and curious approach to process improvement.
- Proficiency in both French and English, spoken and written.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- Experience with legal technology, AI platforms, or policy management is an asset.
