About the role#
Kimball Electronics is offering a Summer 2027 internship for a Legal Analyst Intern. This role provides hands-on experience in corporate law, contract management, and legal department operations. You will work directly with the Director of Legal Operations and Corporate Counsel. This internship is full-time and paid, with the option to be based at our headquarters in Jasper, Indiana, or to work remotely.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate and support contract maintenance and reporting.
- Improve existing legal reports and develop legal templates and contract playbooks.
- Research contract law and perform term analysis.
- Assist with drafting legal documents and corporate governance activities.
- Prepare materials to update the legal team on company risks.
- Connect legal agreements to impacted business units by coordinating with cross-functional teams.
- Communicate analysis, research, and disclosures to senior management.
- Assist with due diligence, execution, and integration tasks.
- Prepare and deliver presentation materials for leadership.
What you'll need#
- Undergraduate student pursuing pre-law, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or AI & Analytics.
- Graduate student pursuing a JD, LLM, or a dual law degree.
- Excellent writing and analytical skills.
- Strong collaboration, coordination, and facilitation abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal research applications like WestLaw or Lexus.
- Ability to work in a detail-oriented, self-motivated manner.

- Compensation: $20-$30 per hour.
