About the role#
We are looking for an Electrical Co-op Student to join our team in Mississauga. This is a full-time, on-site position. You will work on-site to support our maintenance and electrical operations, ensuring our machinery runs safely and efficiently.
What you'll do#
- Set up, install, repair, and maintain machinery and equipment.
- Work on electrical motors, generators, and hydraulic or pneumatic control systems.
- Install and repair wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, and conduits.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the maintenance shop.
- Manage the inventory of parts needed for repairs.
- Ensure all work meets the requirements of the Quality Management System and Environmental Health & Safety System.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a post-secondary program in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Knowledge of mechanical assembly, machine repair, and electrical systems.
- Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC, and CNC control systems.
- Welding and basic machining skills are considered an asset.
- Previous experience in the automotive industry is helpful but not required.
