About the role#
Johnson Electric is hiring a Maintenance Co-op Student for a 12-month, full-time position in Mississauga, Ontario. You will work on-site, reporting to the Maintenance Manager while collaborating with Operations, Quality, and Engineering teams. This role involves maintaining, refurbishing, and repairing production equipment and facilities to ensure operational efficiency.
What you'll do#
- Perform maintenance, refurbishment, and repair of production equipment and facilities.
- Support the assembly, debugging, installation, and startup of new or modified production equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems.
- Maintain an organized and well-equipped maintenance department through effective housekeeping and project organization.
- Work with team members to implement new or modified production equipment as part of manufacturing projects.
- Support the maintenance of Quality Operating Systems related to equipment maintenance in accordance with ISO/TS 16949 standards.
- Ensure all work complies with the company's Quality, Safety, and Environmental Management Systems.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a technical diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
- Relevant industrial experience is preferred.

- Location: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time, with day, afternoon, and night shifts.
- Pay: $22 to $24 per hour.
