About the role#
As a Junior Engineering Specialist, you will support quality and engineering initiatives that drive continuous improvement across our manufacturing operations. This role focuses on applying manufacturing engineering principles and data analysis to improve processes and product quality. You will work on-site in Mississauga, Ontario, for the Fall 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Support the development and implementation of manufacturing processes, equipment installations, and product development activities.
- Prepare Statistical Process Control (SPC) reports and analyze production data using software like JMP.
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to improve process capability, product quality, and manufacturing efficiency.
- Provide technical support for tooling, equipment, processes, and product-related issues.
- Participate in cross-functional team meetings to help resolve quality, operational, safety, and production concerns.
- Assist in the development of standardized work instructions and process documentation.
- Support compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, quality, and EHS requirements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in the 3rd or 4th year of a Manufacturing Engineering or related Engineering program.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a results-oriented manufacturing environment.
- Self-motivation with strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and data analysis tools.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
