About the role#
As a Training & Development Student, you will support employee training initiatives at our Ancaster facility. You will work alongside operators, supervisors, engineers, and subject matter experts to document processes and maintain training materials. This role focuses on ensuring that documentation supports safety, quality, and operational consistency.
What you'll do#
- Develop, revise, and maintain Standard Work Instructions (SWIs) for manufacturing and administrative processes.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to document standard work and best practices.
- Observe job tasks and production processes to capture accurate step-by-step instructions.
- Ensure all training documentation meets safety, quality, and compliance requirements.
- Track training completion records and manage updates within the ETQ system.
- Create and update supporting training materials and resources.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a post-secondary co-op program.
- Relevant studies in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or Psychology.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels, from shop-floor personnel to leadership.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or quality environment is an asset.
- Experience creating or updating documentation, process maps, or training materials is preferred.
