About the role#
The Human Resources Intern works alongside the HR Generalist and the broader HR team to support administrative projects and policy development. This role focuses on document standardization, file management, and assisting with recruitment and performance management processes. Interns have the opportunity to attend management training classes, learn HR best practices, and gain experience working with a diverse employee population.
What you'll do#
- Transfer physical employee files into digital records on SharePoint.
- Support hiring processes, including assisting with new hire orientation.
- Standardize interview questions and track search materials to ensure consistent formatting.
- Assist with the performance management review project.
- Update HR policies and training materials.
- Develop systems and establish procedures while learning about HR best practices.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited degree program, specifically in Human Resources or Business Administration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to communicate professionally with staff, volunteers, leadership, and external constituencies.
- High level of organization and attention to detail.
- Completion of the primary COVID-19 vaccination series as defined by CDC guidance prior to the start date.
