About the role#
The HR Corporate Intern supports our HR team with recruiting, retention, employee relations, and benefits. You will help ensure compliance with state, local, and government regulations while assisting with company-wide training and development programs. This role is based on-site in San Antonio and requires occasional travel to contract sites across nine states.
What you'll do#
- Evaluate and resolve HR issues.
- Develop and implement recruitment and retention strategies.
- Create, evaluate, and conduct training programs for hiring managers.
- Prepare, present, and monitor HR statistics and metrics.
- Participate in the annual open enrollment process.
- Assist with compliance regarding the Service Contract Act and prevailing wage requirements.
- Compile wage and benefit data for collective bargaining agreement negotiations.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Human Resources or a related field.
- Proficiency in MS Excel.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Clear written and oral communication skills.
- A preference for candidates pursuing an aPHR or PHR certification.
- Experience with HR and Workforce Management software like UKG is a plus.
- Familiarity with Federal Contracting or the Service Contract Act is preferred.
