About the role#
The KidSuccess School-Based Case Manager internship supports the KidSuccess team in providing professional case management services to children, adolescents, and families. This role focuses on promoting individual and family stability, self-sufficiency, and academic achievement through a school-based mental health program.
What you'll do#
- Assess and connect families with appropriate community resources.
- Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and supportive services to help clients meet treatment goals.
- Implement and monitor service plans related to case management objectives.
- Collaborate with internal agency programs and external community prevention agencies.
- Maintain accurate case records and document client contacts and progress to ensure accountability.
- Assist with intakes and case management needs for the Weinberg Food Pantry.
- Support therapists during wellness groups, school events, and community fairs.
- Participate in weekly supervision and required staff training.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited school program, specifically in Psychology, Public Health, or Human Resources.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage documentation accurately, including Protected Health Information (PHI).
- Effective interpersonal communication skills.
- Basic computer literacy and experience with Microsoft Office products.
- Completion of the primary COVID-19 vaccination series prior to the start date.

- Modality: On-site with potential for a hybrid schedule.
- Compensation: This is an unpaid internship.
