About the role#
The KidSuccess School-Based Case Manager internship supports the KidSuccess school-based mental health program. This role provides professional case management services to children, adolescents, and families to promote stability, self-sufficiency, and academic achievement. This is an unpaid internship for the 2026-2027 academic year.
What you'll do#
- Assess and connect families with community resources based on their specific needs.
- Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and supportive services to help clients meet treatment goals.
- Implement and monitor service plans.
- Collaborate with internal programs and external community prevention agencies.
- Maintain accurate case records and document client progress to ensure accountability.
- Assist with intakes and service needs for the Weinberg Food Pantry.
- Support therapists during wellness groups, school events, and community fairs.
- Attend weekly supervision sessions with the clinical supervisor.
- Input client information into databases and submit data for program reports.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited school program, specifically in Psychology, Public Health, or Human Resources.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in managing documentation, including records containing Protected Health Information (PHI).
- Effective interpersonal communication skills.
- Basic computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office products.
- Completion of the primary COVID-19 vaccination series prior to the start date.
