About the role#
The Workstudy Technician Assistant role provides currently enrolled university students with part-time employment that supports departmental operations. This position helps you build professional skills, accountability, and time management while you complete your degree. You will work on a part-time basis, with hours scheduled around your academic coursework.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the day to day maintenance and operations of your assigned department.
- Handle clerical tasks such as answering phones, filing, scheduling, and organizing.
- Provide front-line customer service to students, staff, and visitors.
- Complete data entry and provide light research assistance.
- Offer technology support for departmental needs.
- Support various events and programs.
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and compliance with all university policies.
What you'll need#
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- Current enrollment as a university student.
- Ability to lift and carry 25 lbs.
- Frequent use of a keyboard and ability to sit or stand for extended periods.

- This position is located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
- This is an on-site, part-time role.
- Employment is paid and available on a rolling basis.
