About the role#
The Institutional Work Study Student position provides currently enrolled university students with part-time employment to support daily departmental operations. This role focuses on professional growth and skill development while complementing your academic experience. You will work in an environment that emphasizes workplace readiness, communication, and time management.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the day-to-day maintenance and responsibilities of your assigned department.
- Handle clerical functions such as answering phones, filing, scheduling, and organizing.
- Provide front-line customer service and support for various events and programs.
- Perform data entry and provide light research assistance.
- Offer technology support and complete other general operational duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Currently enrolled as a university student.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and compliance with university policies.
- Capacity to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to perform frequent sitting, standing, and keyboard use.
