About the role#
This is a 12-week paid internship focused on research and development. You will work on-site in Fontana, California, during the summer of 2027. You will gain hands-on experience in materials development, laboratory testing, and project execution while working alongside scientists and engineers.
What you'll do#
- Support the development of coating systems, application processes, and aesthetic solutions.
- Partner with engineers on initiatives for protective materials and product performance.
- Contribute to research projects aimed at product enhancement and manufacturing alignment.
- Complete laboratory assignments with attention to quality and deadlines.
- Collaborate with internal teams, external stakeholders, and vendors.
- Provide regular updates on your project progress and results.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's program for Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- An anticipated graduation date between December 2027 and May 2029.
- A minimum GPA of 3.00.
- Knowledge of materials science, specifically polymers.
- Ability to work full-time for 12 weeks during the summer of 2027.
- Reliable transportation to the job site.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Independent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage project milestones.
