About the role#
As a Quality Engineering Intern, you will work on-site for 12 weeks during the summer of 2027. You will support the expansion of inline automated inspection capabilities for decking products. This role involves working alongside the Senior Quality Engineer and various internal teams to test systems, analyze performance data, and document findings to improve manufacturing quality.
What you'll do#
- Support the development and expansion of inline automated inspection systems.
- Assist with testing, data collection, and evaluation of inspection capabilities.
- Analyze inspection and process data using statistical methods.
- Document findings, issues, and improvement opportunities.
- Partner with Quality, Process Engineering, Operations, and Capital Engineering teams.
- Provide progress updates and follow through on assigned deliverables.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program for Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
- Graduation date between December 2027 and May 2029.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and statistical software like Minitab.
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and clear communication abilities.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Reliable transportation to the work site.
