About the role#
As a Logistics Administrator Student, you will gain exposure to J.D. Irving's transportation sector, which includes marine, railway, and trucking operations. This position allows you to lead your own projects and participate in training sessions while supporting the daily operations of our logistics division.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the day-to-day transportation needs of customers.
- Obtain and enter market data to compare and analyze against existing information.
- Support efforts to improve the profitability of existing customers.
- Coordinate with key stakeholders to track updated rates and capacity fluctuations.
- Track and update sales requests based on specific customer requirements.
- Perform data entry and general administrative duties as required.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate degree program, specifically in Logistics, Business Administration, or Supply Chain Management.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and detail-oriented habits with a focus on follow-up.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly to change.
- A collaborative mindset and a willingness to exceed customer expectations.
