About the role#
J.D. Irving, Limited is hiring Co-op students for the Winter 2027 term. You will work on-site in New Brunswick or Nova Scotia. This is a paid, full-time position for students who plan to return to school after the term ends. You will work alongside an Operations Supervisor to gain practical experience in the forestry industry.
What you'll do#
- Support daily operations and logistics across various forestry sites.
- Help manage reforestation and forest health initiatives.
- Participate in timber harvesting operations and planning.
- Support teams focused on road construction, harvesting, silviculture, and transportation.
- Lead or assist with special projects that drive operational success.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, and efficiency.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Forestry, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or Business program.
- Ability to return to school after the work term.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
- You enjoy working outdoors and in team environments.
- You are detail-oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable managing multiple tasks.
