About the role#
Interfor is seeking an Operations Intern to join the team in Belledune, New Brunswick for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site position where you will work alongside experienced professionals to gain practical experience in a modern sawmill environment. You will learn how equipment, technology, and people work together to produce wood products.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to projects focused on process improvement, operational efficiency, and production performance.
- Analyze data and observations to identify opportunities for improvement across mill operations.
- Explore production processes to learn how a modern sawmill operates.
- Build leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills while working with operations professionals.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a degree or diploma program in Wood Products Processing, Business, Operations Management, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, or Supply Chain Management.
- A commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with different teams and departments.

- Term: Summer 2027 (4 to 8 months).
