About the role#
Interfor is hiring a Procurement Intern for the summer of 2027. This is a full-time, paid, on-site role based in Louisiana and Arkansas. You will work alongside experienced professionals to understand how wood procurement supports mill operations. The position is expected to last between 4 and 8 months, starting in May 2027.
What you'll do#
- Gain hands-on exposure to wood procurement and its role in mill operations.
- Assist with log valuation and stumpage acquisition activities.
- Learn how strong relationships with logging contractors support safe and efficient operations.
- Collect and organize data to support procurement decisions and daily tasks.
- Contribute to process improvement projects while learning from the team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a university or college program related to forestry, natural resources, or wood products processing.
- A basic understanding of workplace safety rules and regulations.
- Physical ability and willingness to work outdoors in hot or inclement weather.
- A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.

- Compensation: Starting at $3,700 per month, plus a temporary living allowance for those moving to the area.
