About the role#
This position offers hands-on experience in data solutions, analytics, and process improvement within our finance team. You will work alongside professionals to support business decision-making and operational efficiency. The role focuses on developing technical skills through projects involving data technologies and AI solutions.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the team on data analysis, visualization, and technology solutions for finance operations.
- Design and enhance data models, dashboards, reports, and automated workflows.
- Analyze financial and operational data to spot trends and uncover opportunities for improvement.
- Use tools like Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, and AI-enabled technologies.
- Contribute to initiatives in analytics, automation, and artificial intelligence.
- Support the implementation and improvement of finance reporting systems.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a university program such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or Information Systems.
- Good academic standing.
- Availability for the Winter 2027 work term.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly and work well in a team.
- A curious, detail-oriented mindset focused on process improvement.
- Interest in data analytics, reporting, and emerging technologies.
- Experience with data analysis, programming, or tools like SQL and Python is an asset.
