ITW Global Tire Repair is seeking a Project Engineer Intern to support New Product Development (NPD) initiatives. This role focuses on technical documentation, product research, and the continuous improvement of internal systems and processes. You will gain hands-on experience by collaborating cross-functionally and contributing to the product development lifecycle.
What you'll do#
- Maintain and improve the technical library by auditing specification sheets and technical documents, ensuring information is accurate and organized.
- Conduct competitive product research to support early-stage ideation.
- Assist in the evaluation of new product concepts, materials, and innovation opportunities.
- Identify and implement improvements to NPD systems and workflows, including the creation of updated training and education materials.
What you'll need#
- Junior or senior standing pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Industrial, Electrical, Computer, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering, or Business Administration or Information Systems.
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Location & details#
- Location: San Luis Obispo, California.
- Term: Summer 2026.
- Schedule: This is a part-time, on-site position working approximately 15–20 hours per week.
- Compensation: $22–$28 per hour, depending on experience.
