About the role#
As a Manufacturing Engineer Intern, you will focus on reviewing equipment effectiveness and finding ways to improve production. You will work on projects that increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality. You will spend your time developing standard metrics, creating project plans, and working alongside front-line staff to implement your ideas.
What you'll do#
- Analyze and report quantitative data to track process improvement projects.
- Assist in the continuous improvement of production, quality, and inventory using lean manufacturing principles.
- Identify and solve problems related to manufacturing equipment and processes.
- Develop innovative concepts and design approaches for current and new manufacturing processes.
- Coordinate and complete assigned projects within the required scope and timeline.
- Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 35 lbs, bending, twisting, and standing or walking for an 8-hour shift.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel for data analysis.
- Ability to read AutoCAD or SolidWorks drawings.
- Knowledge of basic manufacturing processes, lean manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, Root Cause Analysis, and Six Sigma.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Preference for candidates with knowledge of the MS Power Platform, including PowerBI, PowerApps, and PowerAutomate.
