About the role#
The NPD Sourcing Co-op role supports the sourcing department at the Hobart commercial dishwasher division. You will gain hands-on experience with daily operations and contribute to new product development projects. This is a paid, full-time, on-site position based in Troy, Ohio, running from January 2027 through May 2027.
What you'll do#
- Research and qualify suppliers while performing market analysis.
- Coordinate with engineering, supply chain, and operations teams to track project timelines and deliverables.
- Manage supplier communications, including scheduling meetings and requesting technical information or samples.
- Analyze pricing, spend data, and cost comparisons to support optimization efforts.
- Assist with reporting and documentation to improve sourcing processes.
- Participate in new product development meetings to observe supplier selection and launch cycles.
- Travel occasionally, approximately 5% of the time.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a junior or senior in a bachelor’s degree program, preferably in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or Finance.
- Proficiency using MS Excel.
- Understanding of financial principles, specifically cost and volume analysis.
- Ability to solve problems and assess risks.
- Capacity to work effectively in a professional office environment.
- Prior experience in operations or purchasing is a plus.
