About the role#
This internship offers a chance to gain experience in strategic sourcing within a global manufacturing environment. You will work under the mentorship of professionals to learn our business model and contribute to real projects. High performance during this program may lead to a full-time employment offer.
What you'll do#
- Research market conditions and key cost drivers for assigned commodities.
- Identify and vet new suppliers to support purchasing programs.
- Find opportunities to drive savings and cost avoidance through spend analysis and stakeholder interviews.
- Quantify the financial benefits of your sourcing initiatives.
- Manage projects by creating timelines, setting milestones, and tracking progress.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including spend management and trade compliance groups.
- Present your findings and project results to leadership.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Junior or Senior pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Mechanical Engineering.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Advanced MS Excel skills, specifically with V-lookup, H-lookup, indexing, pivot tables, and graphs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with AI tools and concepts to assist with research and analysis.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Detail-oriented approach to cleaning and managing large data sets.

- Location: Glenview, Illinois.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Duration: 12 weeks, approximately 40 hours per week.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $26.00 per hour.
