About the role#
The Park School of Communications is hiring Teaching Assistants for Journalism courses during the Fall 2026 semester. These positions offer students a chance to apply their classroom knowledge in a professional setting.
What you'll do#
- Assist with classroom instruction regarding EFP equipment and editing software.
- Help students with EFP learning opportunities to produce multimedia journalism content.
- Assist in the implementation and operation of equipment in both the classroom and the field.
- Produce and manage social media content.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a student in Communications or Journalism.
- For Visual Journalism positions, you must have taken the course previously.
- For Field Experience positions, you must have completed Visual Journalism with a grade of B+ or higher.

- Location: Ithaca, New York.
- Modality: On-site.
- Term: Fall 2026.
- Hours: 2 hours per week.
- Pay: $16 per hour.
