About the role#
Ithaca College is seeking a student assistant to support the daily operations and maintenance of the aquaponics research facility. This position offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in facility management and system oversight.
What you'll do#
- Supervise student users of the aquaponic system.
- Manage facility organization and ensure general cleanliness.
- Monitor supply levels and place orders when stocks are low.
- Remain on-call to address system emergencies as they arise.
What you'll need#
- Ability to supervise peers and maintain facility standards.
- Availability to respond to on-call emergency needs.
- Capability to manage inventory and procurement tasks.
- Strong organizational skills to maintain the facility.
