About the role#
Baylor University is hiring a Student Worker to assist the Physics and Astronomy department with social media marketing projects. This part-time role involves working less than 20 hours per week during the fall and spring semesters. You will support faculty and staff by managing accounts and creating content that highlights our graduate and undergraduate students.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate with staff to prepare, schedule, and post content.
- Capture stories about students and develop strategies to increase brand awareness.
- Create short articles and multimedia content.
- Monitor comments and independently manage social media posts.
- Ensure all work follows university branding guidelines.
- Maintain positive relationships with the administrative team.
- Provide customer service to constituents.
- Stay current on social media trends.
What you'll need#
- Current student status, preferably in Marketing or Communications.
- Experience with content creation tools and social media platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- Proactive, organized, and creative approach to work.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Location & details#
- This position is based on-site in Waco, Texas, at the Baylor Sciences Building.
- The role is paid at $9.50 per hour.
- Hiring is on a rolling basis.
